MNCAR Exchange Technical Requirements


Use this list to ensure your computer is using the MNCAR Exchange commercial property database to its maximum capacity.

  1. Only Internet Explorer (IE) versions 5.5 or later are compatible with the MNCAR Exchange. The Exchange cannot be used with older versions of IE or other browsers such as AOL, Firefox, Safari, etc. Internet Explorer 7 is recommended. To download it, click here: Download IE 7
     
  2. Be sure that you’ve installed Service Pack 2 for Windows XP or Service Pack 1 for Windows Vista. You can use this link to determine if updates are needed: Windows Update
     
  3. Ensure that you have the most current version of Adobe Acrobat Reader installed. To download the software, click this link: Adobe Acrobat Reader
     
  4. Make sure your IE settings are updated to use the Exchange. Click here for instructions on making these updates: Configuring IE7 for the MNCAR Exchange
     
  5. Certain installed programs can interfere with the property operation of the Exchange. These include:
    • The Google, Yahoo, or AOL toolbars
    • Firewall software such as McAfee, Norton, or ZoneAlarm
    • Software for saving passwords such as KeePass or RoboForm
    • If you don’t have these installed and the Exchange doesn’t function properly after meeting the other requirements, please contact the MNCAR Exchange support team for resolution.
