Executive Officer Bio - Dara J. Rudick

As Executive Officer of the Minnesota Commercial Association of REALTORS® (MNCAR) and its for-profit subsidiary, the MNCAR Exchange, Dara Rudick provides overall vision and leadership for the organization.  Under the first two years of her direction, MNCAR grew in revenue more than 15% annually.  The organization is a recognized leading commercial real estate association nationwide.

Rudick manages more than 100 volunteers and a staff team of 9.  Her team is responsible for implementing the MNCAR mission of cultivating a cooperative commercial real estate community and providing the most accurate information, future-focused education, and invaluable connections amongst commercial real estate practitioners.

In addition to managing the association, Rudick oversees the direction of the MNCAR Exchange Commercial Property Database, the most widely recognized source of commercial property information in Minnesota.  Rudick has been instrumental in building alliances between MNCAR and the Appraisal Data Network, the Minnesota Shopping Center Association, the National Association of Investment and Office Properties, the Minnesota Real Estate Journal, the Minneapolis / St. Paul Business Journal, and Finance and Commerce.

Winner of the 2009 “Volunteer of the Year Award” for the Midwest Society of Associations (MSAE), Rudick served on the MSAE board from 2005 to 2008.  She chaired the MSAE 2008 Fall Conference Committee and heads the MSAE CEO Circle.  In 2006, Rudick was appointed to the board of directors for The Aliveness Project, an organization dedicated to working with individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS.  In 2008, she was elected to the Powderhorn Partners Neighborhood Association board of directors, where she currently serves as treasurer.  In 2009 she was appointed to the One Heartland advisory board.

Before working with MNCAR, Rudick served as the Director of Member Relations and the Director of Communications for the Better Business Bureau of Minnesota and North Dakota (BBB).   She was the founder of the marketing and public relations firm T.H. Ink Communications, for which she served as President and CEO.

Rudick earned her bachelor’s degree from Oberlin College and is a Certified Association Executive (CAE). She is working towards her MBA at the University of St. Thomas. She and her husband Ryan are licensed foster parents. They live with their 10-year old son Zach in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
