Brad Butler is a Commercial Real Estate Advisor with Hoyt Properties, bringing nearly 30 years of experience in the Twin Cities office and industrial real estate market. After spending his career representing institutional owners and landlords, including leadership roles with Workspace Property Trust and Liberty Property Trust, Brad now represents tenants and occupiers, helping businesses navigate lease renewals, relocations, expansions, and strategic real estate decisions. Throughout his career, Brad has negotiated hundreds of lease transactions and managed more than 1.5 million square feet of commercial real estate. His owner-side experience provides clients with a unique perspective on lease negotiations, market strategy, and identifying opportunities to reduce occupancy costs while supporting long-term business objectives. Brad is a member of the Minnesota Commercial Association of Real Estate (MNCAR), where he previously served as Program Committee Chair and was President in 2011. He remains actively involved in the Twin Cities commercial real estate community and has built a reputation for integrity, collaboration, and delivering strategic solutions for clients. Brad earned a B.A. in Biology from St. Olaf College in Northfield. Prior to his commercial real estate career, he worked as a water biologist with Clean-Flo Laboratories. His background in biology, combined with extensive experience overseeing office, industrial, and specialized tenant buildouts, has fueled a passion for helping medical technology, biotechnology, and life sciences companies identify facilities that support innovation and growth. Outside of work, Brad enjoys hunting, fishing, skiing, and spending time with his wife, Joni, and their three children, Ali, Emma, and William.
