Speakers bios:

Ashleigh Powell

BIO:
Ashleigh Powell, Cushing Terrell’s Co-Director of Sustainability, leads the firm’s corporate and project-based commitments to sustainability. From conceptual design through construction, Ashleigh partners with clients and project teams to identify appropriate sustainable design strategies for their unique needs, from individual buildings to community-wide climate action planning initiatives. She has over 18 years of experience collaborating with project stakeholders to drive impactful, responsible design solutions. As a trusted advisor to some of Cushing Terrell's largest clients, she serves as a resource for third-party green building certification programs, climate commitments, ESG strategies, and has worked closely with clients' internal teams to develop and pioneer their own corporate sustainability programs.

 

Kaitlin McCoy

Bio:

Kaitlin is a licensed architect and sustainability specialist who advances design solutions to create sustainable built environments and communities which ultimately result in resilient, healthy, and equitable spaces. As a member of several groups at Cushing Terrell who are dedicated to furthering various sustainability initiatives, Kaitlin is part of a team that works to advance holistic sustainability through research, advocacy, and education. Through this work, she engages with design teams and clients to create design solutions that prioritize key sustainability considerations like energy, water, and resource efficiency, decarbonization, occupant health and satisfaction, and resilience.

                  Continuing Education Credit has been applied for and 1 hour of continuing education is pending approval from the Minnesota Department of Commerce.
